The bad things about not changing and accepting the new things that are happening to you and wanting to go back to the past may affect your life very badly. You may become a lonely sad "sack" who will stay only inside your house and never come out to greet the world just like Mamasitam, the big fat lady of a hard working man, who came from somewhere in Latin America to live in the US. She misses home so much because she doesn't know english much and she is always living inside the house and never going out. Her husband scolds her all the time and she permanently breaks her heart when she hears her own son singing a song from a pepsi commercial.
The Bad Thing is..

You have to always accept the changes that are happening to you whether you like it or not, because that change will become a part of your life and maybe also be your new lifestyle. If you don't you will be just like Mamasita. And what i mean is that, you would have a very bad life.
