LOL!!! COMPARE AND CONTRAST ESSAY!!! NO SOURCE!!!

Egyptians and Vietnamese burial styles or types are similar and different in many ways. First of all, both Egyptians and Vietnamese put the dead body inside coffins. Egyptians bury the dead under pyramids while Vietnamese bury their dead in temples. To conclude the Egyptian and Vietnamese burial styles or types are similar in many ways but different in the way they do it
Both Egyptians and Vietnamese people put their bodies in coffins. However, they do it differently. Egyptians remove some of the body’s internal organs except the heart and place it on canopic jars. They also add most of the goods of the body into the coffin. In Vietnam, they don’t do that. They only place the body into the coffin and place it underground. To conclude, Egyptians and Vietnamese both bury their dead in coffins.
Egyptians bury their dead under the pyramids while Vietnamese bury the dead under temples or average cemeteries. The Egyptians built a pyramid so that they could set up traps for thieves who try to steal the treasures of the dead body. In Vietnam, since we don’t put any treasures in the coffin, we have no need of pyramids or any large trapping structure. To conclude, Egyptians bury their dead in pyramids while Vietnamese bury their dead under temples.
To conclude, Egyptians and Vietnamese people have different burial customs. Both place the dead under coffins. However they bury their dead in different places. That is why they are similar or different in many ways.

The old kingdom and The new kingdom

There are many differences between the old kingdom and the new kingdom. The Old Kingdom is the period in the third millennium BC. The New Kingdom is the period covering the Eighteenth, Nineteenth, and Twentieth dynasty of Egypt. the Old Kingdom is frequently referred to as "the Age of the Pyramids". Two of the best known pharaohs of the New Kingdom are Akhenaten, Ramesses II. In the old Kingdom egyptian armies fought with Hittite armies for control of modern-day Syria. In the new kingdom Ramesses II reconquest led to the Battle of Qadesh, where he led the Egyptian armies against the army of the Hittite king Muwatalli II.

The Old Kingdom is the period in the third millennium BC when Egypt attained its first continuous peak of civilization complexity and achievement (the first of three so-called "Kingdom" periods which mark the high points of civilization in the Nile Valley), spanning the period when Egypt was ruled by the Third Dynasty through the Sixth Dynasty (2630–2151 BC). Many Egyptologists also include the Memphite Seventh and Eighth Dynasties in the Old Kingdom as a continuation of the administration centralized at Memphis. The Old Kingdom was followed by a period of disunity and relative cultural decline referred to by Egyptologists as the First Intermediate Period -- or, as the Egyptians called it, the "first illness." The royal capital of Egypt during the Old Kingdom was located at Memphis, where Djoser established his court.

The Old Kingdom is perhaps best known, however, for the large number of pyramids which were constructed at this time as pharaonic burial places. For this reason, the Old Kingdom is frequently referred to as "the Age of the Pyramids". Through military dominance abroad, the New Kingdom saw Egypt's greatest territorial extent. It expanded far into Nubia in the south, and held wide territories in the Near East. Egyptian armies fought with Hittite armies for control of modern-day Syria.

The New Kingdom is the period covering the Eighteenth, Nineteenth, and Twentieth dynasty of Egypt, from the 16th century BC to the 11th century BC, between the Second Intermediate Period, and the Third Intermediate Period. Two of the best known pharaohs of the New Kingdom are Akhenaten, also known as Amenhotep IV, whose exclusive worship of the Aten is often interpreted as the first instance of monotheism, and Ramesses II, who attempted to recover the territories in modern Israel/Palestine, Lebanon and Syria that had been held in the Eighteenth Dynasty. His reconquest led to the Battle of Qadesh, where he led the Egyptian armies against the army of the Hittite king Muwatalli II.

+ Thai Buddhist Temple & Egyptian Pyramid -

There are many differences between Thai Buddhist Temple and Egyptian Pyramid. First begin with the briefly explanation of the Pyramid. Then see the differences between the two. That’s why they are different.

Actually there are about 40,717 Buddhist temples around the world (in Thai called “Wat”). There are over 31,200 Buddhist temples spread around Thailand. They are grouped into two main groups: temples which are permitted to carry out religious functions and those which are used only for living quarters for monks. Temples are classified into two main categories: Royal Temples and Common Temples. The Royal Temples were either built by royalty or came under their sponsorship. In Thailand, there are about 200 Royal Temples. People are coming to worshiping at the temple to wish of what they want.

There are 138 pyramids discovered in Egypt as of 2008. Most were built as tombs for the country's Pharaohs and their consorts during the Old and Middle Kingdom periods. The earliest known Egyptian pyramids are found at Saqqara, northwest of Memphis. The earliest among these is the Pyramid of Djoser (constructed 2630 BCE–2611 BCE) which was built during the third dynasty. This pyramid and its surrounding complex were designed by the architect Imhotep, and are generally considered to be the world's oldest monumental structures constructed of dressed masonry. By the time of the early dynastic period of Egyptian history, those with sufficient means were buried in bench-like structures known as mastabas.

There are many differences between Temple and pyramid. They are different by the religion, spirituality, Ancient History, and Aztecs. The traditional are different from the ancient even until to the present. The pyramid most were built as tombs for the country's Pharaohs and their consorts during the Old and Middle Kingdom periods. But Temple is where the Buddhism is coming for pray and worshiping.

There for these two are different from each other. There are the descriptions of the Thailand Temple. It also includes the description of the Egyptian Pyramid. They are different by the religion, spirituality, Ancient History, and Aztecs.

=Compare and Contrast Essay: Famous Pharaohs=

King Ramses II and King Khafre had many things in common and uncommon. Ramses II was a famous person, known for uniting Upper and Lower Egypt, while Khafre is remembered for making the Second Pyramid at Giza and The Great Sphinx that guards it. Both of the pharaohs had many similarities and differences economically (architecture), politically (exploiting and conquering territories), and socially. To conclude, both kings had quite a lot of things alike and different.

Ramses II and Khafre are similar and different economically. Ramses II and Khafre, both were very fond of architecture. These two geniuses have left us many ancient monuments such as the Abu Simbel, The Great Sphinx, and The Second Pyramid at Giza. Also life sized statues of Ramses II and Khafre have been found in their tombs. However, most of Ramses II art have been lost and stolen while Khafre is found with all is belongings. To conclude, King Ramses II and King Khafre have a lot of similarities in architecture with a bit of crumbs missing.

Ramses II and Khafre are very different in terms of politics. Ramses II was a prolific ruler that fought to claim territory in Africa and Western Asia. He had fought for years and expanded Egypt’s empire by expansion and construction of structures. King Ramses II was the most powerful pharaoh of Egypt. On the other hand, Khafre was a cool and relaxed person who first gained peoples trust and then conquered the region easily. King Khafre had participated in many foreign trades and his reign has been found in present-day Syria. To conclude, both pharaohs have very different political statistics.

Ramses II and Khafre have quite different backgrounds socially. Ramses II to be born to Queen Tuy and his father Sety I. He was given his throne in the early age of 20 and he ruled for 67 years. Ramses II had a harem of wives, his special wife was Nefertari and he had over one hundred kids with all his wives. When Ramses II died, his tomb was located in the Valley of Kings. King Khafre, on the other side, was born many years after King Ramses II. King Khafre was the son of King Khufu and Meritates. Khafre also had many wives but his favorite one was Nefertkau from which he got three sons and one daughter. He had other kids which are unknown. Khafre died in 2480 B.C and his tomb was located in the second pyramid. To conclude, both pharaohs have a lot of differences socially.

In conclusion, King Ramses II and King Khafre had many things in common and uncommon. Both of the pharaohs had many similarities and differences economically, politically and socially. Both of these pharaohs were the ladder to Egypt’s development. Ramses II and Khafre were very different from each other and they did extraordinary things that shaped the land of Egypt.

:) A Memorable Moment (:

The elevator came down as I entered the airport. People were running like crazy, just to make it to the check-in counter. Relatives of the people, who were going, were crying so badly, as if someone died. Everyone was in a rush, except me. I was smiling to myself; this was the best day of my life....I was going to a place where I never dreamed of going. I was going to Thailand. For years I have waited, just to travel to a wonderful place like this. Now, the time has come and I will not stay behind for the sake of tears.

There was this small, four-year-old boy in the airport, jumping around like mad. He was so excited that he wouldn't care to wait in the plane room. He wanted to hop on the plane and take off. That small boy was me. People were staring at me and wondering, "Is that boy mad?". I was enjoying myself, not caring about who ever though what about me. At last the plane arrived and I was the first to go in. The moment I got in, I started asking my mother, "When is the plane leaving? When is the plane leaving?" My mom got so annoyed that she told me keep patience and sleep.

How could I sleep when I was in the mood for jumping around? I asked all the airhostesses, " When is the plane going to start? I want to go fast." They all smiled and told me not to worry. Then, when the plane started, I was screaming my head off. All the people in the plane thought that I was out of my mind and I really was. After waiting for two hours, I reached my destination. The land was smiling up at me as I stepped foot outside the airport. I was so happy that I could never forget that day, when the world turned around to look at me, fly.

My experience

The first time that I went to another country, I was eight years old. I went to China. When I arrived the airport, I was so excited. My sister, mother and I went to burger king to have breakfast. I chose the very big hot dog because I was so hungry. I was so full but my mother forced me to finish it. I was trying to finish them, the very big hot dog wasn’t delicious at all at that moment. Then after I felt so full, I wanted to go to toilet but I couldn’t find the toilet. I felt terrible, because I was so full and stomachache. When I found the toilet, I had the diarrhea. It was so hot in the toilet that I wanted to lie down. I could faint but I kept myself awake. After I released everything out of my stomach, I didn’t feel the pain anymore. I was still felt dizzy and wanted to vomit. It was time to go to the airplane so I didn’t vomit yet. I was so dizzy on the plane and I vomit in the provided bags I used about four bags. I really hate the toilets in China, they were so dirty. I always defecated in the hotel before I left to outside. I hate that trip so much, and I hate hot dog since that time.

A True Story About A Memorable Event

I felt fear, deep dark pure fear when i learned that my siblings and i would be forced to move to another international school if we didn't have good grades during fourth quarter, at least a 3.5 GPA or above. If we don't we have to move to Siam International School, a school we terribly hate. NIVA International School was a school i like to most because it made me feel like i was in a second home with a bigger and better family and being made to move away made me very afraid. In the end i got a beautiful 3.71 so i remain here in NIVA, in my old life, and continuing this chapter....

-- Metaphoric Writing --

I stepped through the door into the library. It was my first day at the library since I just got shipped here. I saw many book friends and they made me quite happy. Books may seem to be only a stack of papers, but books are actually filled with feelings that never come off their back. The place where the book gets its shine is in the library. The library is that place where different books meet with each other, learn important things, and finish half their journey of life. A book has many chapters to go through as it stays in the library. The chapters are what seems to be the satisfaction of books. Every year the books go farther inside them....chapter by chapter.

The library has all facilities for the books and that's why books never leave it. But everyone has to leave one day and move to a farther portion of their life. For the time being, the library is the one that creates life in the books. The book is trained, repaired, covered and took care of by the librarians. The librarians are the ladders that help books finish the chapters. One can never forget the librarian as it is them who makes us what we are. In the library, books are grouped into sections. Small books go to the small sections while big books go to the big ones.

Each chapter in a books life is important. In every chapter, the book grows and changes sections. Then one day, the chapters end. A book can never forget all the lessons it has learned in the library with all the librarians. I will feel sad too, if I had to leave all this memories behind. But my time hasn't come yet; I still have three more chapters to go through before I am out of here. As each chapter is ending, my friends are leaving and I am becoming terrified, but i know that I have to leave also. The library has given me a lot of opportunity, and I will never forget that.

_-+~ \Metaphoric Story/ ♥♦♣♠

Once upon a time, there is a place name Kitty’s island. It is the place where the people in the village of Keropy study. Most people go to study to gather the knowledge for finding a better job. But before the people in Kitty’s island graduate and fund a job to work, they must grow some plants or build the new substances every single day as a duty to make the island look’s beautiful. The villagers have to help to repair the island every day. There is one area in the island that causes problems which are smelly and too short for people to use, which is the river. People couldn’t use the river usefully.

After graduation, you can become the teacher or part of the government to repair island. It’s either you pick one job that you confident with it, so the island will become better. If you have a good knowledge, you can also move to another island to find a better job for your own good. So in the future you earn a high salary.

My story.

Once upon a time, there was a village in the deep forest. There was so many people in that village. There was a rule that when the kids are old enough they have to climb the mountain to another side of the village. All people have heard that another side of the village was a very civilize village. The parents of the kids were encouraging their kids to climb that high mountain. There is a kid named Dolly who's old enough to climb the mountain. Dolly didn't understand why she has to climb the mountain to another side. The day that Dolly had to go, she said goodbye to her family. While she was climbing the mountain there was so many obstacles. Dolly reminds herself of what her mother said. Dolly's mother said she had to keep going no matter what happened. Dolly saw lots of her friends were giving up, but she wanted a better life in a civilize village she wouldn't give up. Finally she reached another side of the village, there was so beautiful like heaven. After she arrived that side of the villages, there is an angel came to her. The angel gave Dolly a wish, anything that she asked for. Dolly told the angel that she wanted her family to be here with her, and her wish came true. Dolly and her family live happily ever after.

My friend commented that I should add more details and explanation to the story. I added more details to the story and changed the ending a little bit. My friend's comment is not so useful for me.

A Boy In A Circus (Inference on Your School Feelings Story)

 A Boy In A Circus

Once upon a time, there was a very active and funny boy named Boss. He loved to go to the circus and lucky for him, he was very rich. He loved it so much that he actually went to every circus around the world for 13 years and never missed any of the circuses! At the circus, he would go and participate in every activity and bring out all the fun he has inside. He would often blabber nonstop on a ride which somehow influences others to follow and blabber too! You can say that, any ride with him on, would be the loudest and most fun ride. His rule is to do everything and eat everything at least twice.............

Whenever a circus closes down for some apparent reason, he would not do anything else other than staying home. Some may call him a Circus freak or an extremely happy and active person whenever there is a circus, but whenever there is no circus,  he would be so bored and would get a little sick, actually sick of staying home and doing nothing......

Thats it

Adapt to the changes! -Natty

Life would be suck, if people don't adapt to the changes. If people don't adapt to the changes, they won't have any friend. They will surely feel homesick and they will face culture shock. These things are bad, people avoid these bad things by accept the changes.

If people don't adapt to the changes, they won't have any friend. Mamacita doesn't have any friend because she didn't try to make friends and she didn't try to communicate with others. Mamacita has to live only in her room which is so boring. She would feel lonely and stressful when she doesn't have any friend too.

People will surely feel homesick when they don't accept the changes in another country. Kim Bit Na is a 10th grader in Niva International School. At first she didn't speak to anyone, what she did is be quiet when someone talked to her. She had to be alone and she missed her country so much, she wanted to be there. Now she is trying to communicate more with others, she feels less homesick and happier.

People will face culture shock, if they don't adapt to the changes. When a girl named Natty when to Hong Kong, she felt weird when she saw people drink water from the water tap. In her country people don't do that, she was shocked because they didn't boil it first. She tried to drink water from the water tap too, and it wasn't bad. After that she didn't feel culture shock anymore.

Adapt changes is something that everyone has to get through, People have to be patience to accept those changes. People need to try to adapt the changes because if people don't adapt to the changes, they won't have any friend. They will surely feel homesick and they will face culture shock. They will be successful in their life, if they accept the changes!

+ What Happen If You Don’t Accept Change –

What happen if you don’t accept change? If you don’t accept change, it can cause many bad things. You might get a homesick. When you migrate or go to travel in other countries and you don’t follow the way of how are they living, it can be the cause of culture shock. If you can’t speak English it makes you to have problems with having friends and communicate. That’s why you should accept the change.

You might get a homesick, because you can’t get into the social. It can happen when you having a communication with others. When you become a homesick you just only stay at home and don’t want to go out from home. The same of what is happen in the story in title of Mamacita.

The culture shock can happen when you go to another country. Example for the food, in your home land just eats mostly fast food and meets and then you go to some countries that eat spicy food like Southeast Asia. If you don’t eat so you have no food to eat. That’s the reason for you to change.

Sometimes you go to other countries that speak English. English is the language that using the most in the world. When you travel or migrate you should at least can speak English or else you might not able to communicate with them or having new friends. Example when you finding for the hotel to say and to buy some foods.

Therefore if you don’t accept change, you might get homesick, culture shock, and has no friends because you can’t communicate. So you get into the social and community if you accept change.

My New "What Happens If you don't accept change" essay

What Happens If You Don't Accept Change

There are very many things that can happen to you if you don't accept change(most of them are really bad things). First of all, you will get homesickness. Secondly, you may suffer a terrible culture shock. Lastly, you have determined that you will be a lonely sad sack. To conclude, there are many bad things that can happen if you don't accept change.

You would get homesickness if you don't accept change. Like Mamasita who was a Latin American who moved to the US to live with her husband, she didn't accept the fact that US would be her new home and is now just staying in her room listening to Latin American music and crying HOME! HOME! HOME! To conclude, you would get homesickness if you don't accept change

You may suffer a terrible culture shock if you don't accept change. What kind of culture shock? The type in which you see that everyone hear uses a language to communicate that you don't understand or the language that you only know three phrases of. You may also realize that even though you were considered a high ranking person in your previous place, you may find that you are not more than a slave in the new place. You may be unable to accept anything about the customs in the new place just like Mamasita who couldn't accept having her new life and a new home in the US, a place so different from where she came from. To conclude you may have a terrible culture shock if you don't accept the change that is given to you.

You will be a lonely sad sack if you don't accept change because, if you don't accept the new changes such as eating customs, then people will think that the way you eat is weird and you will not have friends which results in not haveing a good life. So to conclude, you will be a lonely sad sack if you don't accept the changes that are given to you.

To coclude my essay, there are many things that can happen to you if you don't accept the changes given to you, and believe me, most of them are things that people don't ever want to experience. You may get homesick, suffer from culture shock, and worst of all become a lonely sad sack in which everyone around you thinks that you are weird or crazy and you don't have friends.

My Reaction to "No Speak English"

I think that if a person moves to a new place and does not change or adapt with the new things there, and keeps on thinking about the past where he/she had spend most of their life, can affect that person badly. It will affect that person badly because, it will make the person homesick, it will limit the person from going beyond his/her past, and it will affect the personality of the person. To conclude, a person must learn to adapt to new places if they are planning to settle there.

First of all, moving to a new place will make you homesick. As we have read in the story, Mamacita was very lonely when she had left her pink house in Mexico and traveled to her husband's apartment in the USA. She was very sad and she stayed in her room all the time and never came out. Mamacita stays in the room and watches the Spanish radio shows and sings all the homesick songs about her country because she is missing her home a lot. So, this is one reason that if you dont adjust to a new place, you will become homesick.

Secondly, if a person doesn't change according to the style of the new place, then a person will be limited from learning new things about the country. In this story, Mamacita didn't know how to speak English, but she had the oppurtunity to learn it and she just let the chance go. Mamacita doesn't want to forget her past, she wants to stay with the memories, the language, and her old pink house. Mamacita came to a new place but she didnt want to know anything about. This limited her from learning English and the culture of America. So, this is another reason why a person must learn to change. Otherwise, you will be left behind like Mamacita.

Lastly, a person might lose his original personality if he/she doesn't change themselves according to the culture of the new place. A cheerful person maybe quite happy at home, but when the person migrates to another country, all the happiness just falls to the ground. An example of how this can happen, is written in this story. Mamacita was a rich, cheerful and happy lady, but after she moved, she was like a lonely sad sack. This happened because she didn't take in the good feelings of being in a good country. So, this is the last reason which tells how a person will be affected if we dont change.

Concluding, a person must learn to adapt and change according to the different environment. Mamacita's hsband is a really nice man who saved his money to bring her closer to him. But it all turned out wrong and the worst part for Mamacita was when she saw that her son was learning English by watching a pepsi commercial on T.V. Hopefully, Mamacita will have to adjust with her area so that she doesn't feel sad about her past. To end, people have to change their style according to the place where they will settle.

English 2 First Homework August 26,2010

Essay on The Bad Things of Not Changing And Accepting What Is In Front Of You

The bad things about not changing and accepting the new things that are happening to you and wanting to go back to the past may affect your life very badly. You may become a lonely sad "sack" who will stay only inside your house and never come out to greet the world just like Mamasitam, the big fat lady of a hard working man, who came from somewhere in Latin America to live in the US. She misses home so much because she doesn't know english much and she is always living inside the house and never going out. Her husband scolds her all the time and she permanently breaks her heart when she hears her own son singing a song from a pepsi commercial.

The Bad Thing is..
  • You will never have a normal life

Do you see?
You have to always accept the changes that are happening to you whether you like it or not, because that change will become a part of your life and maybe also be your new lifestyle. If you don't you will be just like Mamasita. And what i mean is that, you would have a very bad life.
